Well, as I'm sure Don would note, that's part of why we're here...

Cheers!

Ah, how to indicate it in a script ...

EXT.  NEW YORK STREET NEWS STAND - DAY

Close on the cover of GLAM magazine where Giselle Landry blows a kiss. The cover reads: "Giselle Landry loves her fans."

You can also use any of your approaches as it all depends on how you want it shown on-sceen.

thanks everyone, to be more specific: The information contained on the magazine cover is the pertinent information. How do I ie: Cover: A glamourous woman blows a kiss. Caption: Giselle Landry loves her fans. What is the correct formatting. Insert Magazine Cover, Angle on Magazine Cover, Cut to: ? Again any information is greatly appreciated. Peace and lOve

Well-known magazines have a distinctive and unique style and you could indicate that ABC Magazine's style is like Vanity Fair or Elle or whatever. This gives the reader a sense of what a cover layout would look like.

Let's say characters work for magazine, covers reveal pertinent plot points. Any tip on the correct formatting? Any help would be hugely appreciated.
My take on this is that you show the magazine offices, and somebody there is reading the "latest issue", perhaps... the character has something catch his/her eye, he/she grabs the magazine, studies the cover (which gives an opportunity to show the cover closely), and is off on the next bit of business.

A thought...

Cheers!
