I found this little blurb here. Take note, this was back in 2002.
http://www.screenplay.com/resources/howto/newsletters/03-02.htmThe Kristine Krupp Talent Agency is seeking feature film screenwriters with completed spec scripts for representation. No reading or submission fees charged; WGA signatory; California licensed. 1st-time writers OK. Excellent storytelling, grammar/punctuation and screenwriting craft a must. Pls email query letter, synopsis and street mailing address to
kktalent@aol.com (Subject: Query Letter) so that they can follow-up with a release. The Kristine Krupp Agency does not pass on scripts based on synopses - they know that writing a great synopsis is a different skill from writing a great script. Please tell them who wants to see your movie and why. They’re looking forward to lots of great reads.
And this...... an interview with Michael Blaney who, I guess is a songwriter and screenwriter. This is from 2003.
http://www.donedealpro.com/members/details.aspx?object_id=205&content_type=1§ion_id=11You have been repped by Paradigm, The Agency, Epstein and Wycoff, and even Kristine Kupp? Why the various changes? What would you say to other writers about doing all this?
Kristine Krupp was with her own agency and my first real agent. I went with her because she believes in my writing. But she was out of state and it made it really hard. She lived in Northern California and I was in New York. So I packed my bags and moved to Los Angeles for my second time. Where I ended up with Epstein and Wycoff. I loved the woman I worked with there. But I made the big mistake of sniffing around for something better, and I ended up with Paradigm. And the guy there as great, but I felt no chemistry. And that is important, so I moved to The Agency, which was, well a huge learning time for me.
The most current I found was in regards the 2008 Chicago Film Festival. I guess she's still around, and she's a WGA signatory. The Writer's Guild of America membership is a plus. They're pretty strict concerning membership.
If you have current information, send an outline and query via email or however she wants it now. There's nothing written in stone that says you must sign with her. Plus, the second mention above, with Michael Blaney, the reporter mentioned "even Kristine Krupp." To me, that seems to say she was, in 2003, someone who was well known.
If you do the above, ask for her track record, sales, who she represents, etc. That'll tell you a lot. If she won't give you a list of current (last year or two) sales, look elsewhere. A good agent may not say who they represent, but they will tell you what they've sold.
*edit* If you have a finished script, I mean finished and ready to go and the best you can possibly write it, take a look here:
http://www.hollywood-101.com/lessonplan/resources/writers/martykatz.htmlMarty Katz is looking and he will/would a month ago accept email submissions, at least for query and sample. Katz has a big deal with a couple of studios with John Frankenhiemer directing one picture.
