Thank You
Script Nurse I would love for you to read it. Being new to this I need all the help I can get. I don't know about anyone else here but the only training I had is my local library & "life." I study people alot on & off the camera(TV). They become my characters which is fun for me. So you will be hearing alot from me & can't wait for the critiquing to begin!!

When you're done and if you'd like, I'll be happy to read it and comment on it ... if that's a help to you.

Hi Chuck

First Thank You So much for that reply or even just taking the time to read my post. I feel soooo at home here & after reading the various posts & I feel more stronger than ever that this is my calling..."to Write" & "keep Wriing"
After I read your post I was so inspired that I completed a treatment on a movie that I have felt so strongly about for years. It was easy to put on paper because I've been carrying it around in my head for years....I completed it from start to finish in one night.
Even did the story board!!
The spark is back...& Chuck a Million Thanks would not be enough to show my gratitude. I will definately be on this website daily so this was my first post but definately not the last. Still wet behind the ears with this whole writing thing but you have to crawl before you walk. and I should know with my six kids.LOL
Thanks Again...Chuck!!

If I got a PHONE CALL from a motion picture production company, in reference something I sent in, you can bet I'd be motivated. Coincidences like that don't happen. If they cared enough to telephone you, they were interested.

Think about this. Without exact figures, something in the neighborhood of 5000 - 7000 screenplays are submitted each year. Only a few hundred are optioned or made into pictures. Yours was one of those in which a production company showed interest.

Trust me, that should motivate anybody. Somebody who knows took an interest.

To sum it up, get writing lady. LOL

Hi there Just want some encouragement & advice. First I have a story & will try to keep it short. Years ago had a strong desire to write (I still do) but now I have children & I am a single mother of six. So years ago I wrote a 10 page Story with all three acts & sent it right away to New York to Spike Lee's Co. Well 4 days later got a phone call from (40 Acres & A Mule Production Co.) When I saw his Co's name on my caller id I was absolutely terrified to answer but I did. The woman told me that they were very interested in this script & to fax them a "Synopsis" immediately. Well I was new & totally did not know what this was,i.e,the synopsis, so I faxed her another 12 pages of my script. Well after somewhile of learning what a synopsis was I realized she figured I was new also & had no idea what I was doing. Weeks later I got a letter from Spike Lee's Co that they could not use this script at this time but that I was very talented & to "Keep Writing."
Well I did not I stopped writing and had more kids but writing screenplays lingers in my head constantly. But because I doubt myself so much this is as far as I get-Just thinking. I can't seem to put anything on paper anymore. I am looking for motivation. Should I think that that phone call I got years ago from Spike's office should be enough to get me started or was it just a coincidence & I should just move on? Just want closure on what I really should be doing. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
