Query letter - email or mail?

I would venture a guess, as someone who hasn't sent a query or anything else yet, that you would want to go by their guidelines. If an agent, or company, says emails are fine, then I'd be okay with sending an email.

Some prefer email. I found one who won't read anything but email. Others will accept email but none with attachments. A few won't look at anything that doesn't come in the regular mail.

If an agent or company is accepting scripts, they'll have guidelines posted.

I would like advice on whether to send a query letter by Email or regular (snail) mail. There seem to be 2 schools of thought where one school feels Hollywood prefers regular mail as it is easier to handle and frowns on (cheap) email which has the flavour of spam.

The other school feels - don't waste your money on postage and stationery, just Email the query letter.
