Thanks for the update. Great news about the interest from Nickelodeon. I'll be crossing my fingers for you. Don't think I've ever heard of a movie about a kids sports team where a dead body was such a big part of the plot! All the best!

UPDATE ... our kids' baseball movie script, MUD ALLEY MIDGETS is under consideration by Dan Schneider at Nickelodeon.

I'll let you all know how it goes! Our writing coach said he loves GILDED. We'd like to see Cicely Tyson do it.

Fingers crossed then! It does have Hallmark written all over it.

THE GILDED PIANO ... A spirited octogenarian, a gifted savant and one magical secret changes their lives forever.

This has Hallmark written all over it and Cameron Johann asked to see anything else we had that was slanted more to what they're looking for ... it'll be on its way over in a week.

Sounds promising. Hmmm, a horror movie called "Unholy innocent," surely that's got Hallmark written all over it! Wink    All the best.

As a matter of fact ... Cameron Johann at Hallmark contacted us today and said they we're slanted enough toward the women audience they cater to, but that both HASBEEN HOTEL and MUD ALLEY MIDGETS were well written and asked to see anything else we had that was more suitable to the audience. Funny thing, we just finished the rewrite of THE GILDED PIANO, so that'll be ready soon.

In the meantime, we're working on BORN AGAIN ... horror genre.

UPDATE:  Richard Chamberlain says he'll play Winston Dupré ... and Hallmark Channel is looking it over more closely.

I got my hands on coverage for HASBEEN HOTEL and it's attached here.

Our agent at The Glick Agency says we're going to go for a theatrical feature, not a Hallmark movie, which is fine with us ... we make more money. Still, there's a way to go yet, so everything can still change.

Richard Chamberlain just joined the agency I'm with (The Glick Agency), so our agent wants to look for him to do the part of either Concierge Desmond Pruitt or gown designer Winston Dupré. Personally, I'd love to see him do Winston because it's such a fun role.

Della Reese has reviewed the script and is officially attaching to the project for the role of Bessie McFarland, who made her career playing maids in the movies.

All fingers are crossed as a YES at this point gives us a marketable package to a network or Hallmark original movie, says our agent.

This is all really exciting Don!  Sorry Betty White didn't come aboard, but that's okay.  I think Marion Ross or Shirley Jones would be just fine.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for Alan Alda, too!  One of my all-time favs!

Antonio Sabato Jr. has attached to HASBEEN HOTEL for the role of Manuel Salador, the Argentinian entrepreneur who wins the hotel and, on seeing it, puts it up for sale out from under the residents.

Marion Ross and Shirley Jones are being approached for the role of Polly Winsom that Betty White turned down.

Betty White turned us down as she's never had a role where she dies ... and her character does. I believe it'll be offered to June Lockhart, who's agent loves the script and has asked about attaching to the project. She's also the perfect age for the role.

I understand that Cicely Tyson is considering the role of Bessie, but I haven't heard any final word.

If they both attach, this is as good as sold ... so says our agent.
