Some people do well with an online course.
Some don't.  (They need the brick-and-mortar, desks, classroom scene to make it real.)

That's as may be... different strokes for different folks, as they used to say.

Whether it be by hook, crook, book, CD, DVD, VHS, PDQ, or LSMFT*, you use what you can get something out of.

*In case you didn't know, "LSMFT" is a very old cigarette commercial line from back in the day here in the good ol' US of A... means "Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco".
Don't ask... I have a trivia pile between my ears that's slightly higher than Mount Everest.

Cheers!

Tracy,

The Writer's Boot Camp is actually on online kind of thing so look 'em up and if you can afford it go for it.  I talked with one of their reps and it really sounds like a great experience.  Good luck to you!!

Leann,
At least you have the chance to go to one!
There is nothing in Australia that I know of...so I'm really enjoying reading all I can from the great arcticles on this website Smiley
With you background, writing a script should be a lot easier than for most of us!
See ya

My name is Leann and at the age of 41 I'm tired of saying what if about a script idea I've had in my head for over 10 years.  I'm a tv news assignment editor and I've been in the news biz for over 20 years.  I live in the Tampa Florida area and have finally actually written the script.  A writer I have great respect for suggested the Writers Boot Camp but yikes! The price is a bit out of my budget right now.  I'm looking for any and all the advice I can get.
