I think it's a great idea, if you can write code or know people who can. I can't even do HTML myself.

I haven't messed with this Page2Stage in a long time and don't remember much about it. If I had any suggestions, I'd say give it the simplicity of Movie Magic or Sophocles.

Happy little geeks ... I'm very familiar with them, having written some stuff in PHP myself.

The codebase for P2S is C++ and Visual Studio, nearly as I can tell. On the Windows side, there's not a lot to be done as I don't believe that anything's really broken with it. It would be nice to create a version for Linux as there's no screenwriting program available that's native to Linux, with the possible exception of Celtx, whose interface I'm not fond of.

Don,

This is usually handled by a bunch of code-happy geekboys over on SourceForge... at least, that's how I've always seen it done.
Just for ****s and giggles, I downloaded the source archive; I haven't taken a look at it yet, so I don't even know what language it was written in.
If there are enough code warriors here to make it a venture worth doing, then I say go for it, and may Whomever have mercy on your souls.

Cheers!

The original author of Page 2 Stage has licensed the source code as Open Source. I am considering starting an Open Source project to continue the development of Page 2 Stage with the following two goals in mind:

1. Make 2 versions ... Windows and Linux.
2. General cosmetic clean-up and usability improvements to the user interface.

This entails a lot of work and a team of developers would need to be assembled to work on the codebase.

Is this something I should even do?
