One thing I would like to mention since you stated that you are going into production on this script; if you're already going that far with it despite being what you call an "imperfect" script, then why not just keep going with what you're doing? Re-writes don't end till production is complete. That appears to be the standard, but if you're already essentially working without the script than why not try your hand fixing it in-camera? Plenty of good short films have been been made with impromptu scripts. Hell, half the time they're coming up with most of the stuff on set anyway.

(Please bear in mind that this is a generalization and not meant to be taken as screenwriting dogma)

Hi,

I'm happy to have a look if you haven't got the script where it needs to be yet.  I've just finished writing a 60 min pilot show and need a break from my own script so let me know if you want an extra pair of eyes.

I'd be willing to give it a read through and see what I might be able to do with it. I usually dabble in sci-fi and horror. Only recently have I been trying my hand at drama and comedy. You can send it as a PDF, MS Word, or Final Draft document is you want. My email is ryan_brewer2000@yahoo.com

Take care,

Hi

I have been searching for a writing buddy for a short film project for almost 2 years now. It has proven to be much more difficult than I thought it would be and in the I have ended up putting the story together by my self.
The problem is - I am no writer. I am a director with roots in post production.
The project has come a long way since then and we are actually gearing up the production to shoot next summer, but unfortunately the script still feels underdeveloped in certain areas.

I am looking for somebody who would be willing to give my script the kiss of life it so desperately needs. Who would be willing to read through it and help me fix what is fixable?

It is a story about seeing the world through the eyes of a little girl. How the world appears to be magical when she visits her grandfathers place. It is about photography and magic. It is pans labyrinth - meets amelie - meets little miss sunshine. Or it should be.
