What you probably need to check out are Road Trip films. There are a couple of comedies out there like the aptly named "Road Trip" or "Euro Trip". If you want something a bit more dramatic, however, than you need look no further than "Lord of the Rings". It's the ultimate buddy/adventure/road trip movie. And best of all, it's about as dramatic as it gets. I feel compelled to point out that the film I'm refering to is the newer Peter Jackson versions, not the old school animated film.

Can someone suggest a movie that involves a long journey involving two people?  I am half way through my screenplay and need some ideas to keep the action rolling, the dialogue fresh and I also want the audience to "feel" like they have traveled far. My two characters are on their way back (it's a hero's journey format), their journey out was with other characters, so it hasn't been a prob so far. There will be plenty of incidents happening along the way but I just can't think of one movie that fits the bill!

Thanks!
