The results are in...

And the final grade point average is... <drumroll> 3.58 cumulative.<cymbal!>
(This is out of 4.0, by the way.)

Three A's and a C.  (The C was French.  I basically punted that one away.)

Looks like the summer is being taken off (no money), and we'll see what spins for fall.

Cheers!

And the term is over, except for my one final exam (in Intermediate French).

So far, I know three of my grades... History of Film, Audio Production, and Writing for Radio-TV-Film.  (They're "A"'s, by the way.)
French final is next week, and if I ace it, I can get a B.

Cheers!

I've got the latest Celtx on my computer. I've used it twice, a couple of pages each time before I'm back to MM6 or, lately, Final Draft 7. I'm not sure what it is about Celtx that turns me off.

A script done in Celtx looks the same as MM6 and FD. On paper, you couldn't tell the difference. It does PDF which, I assume, can be opened by any number of programs. It's a nice program that, for whatever reason, I just can't seem to get rolling with.

I said in the beginning and still say, the day is coming when Celtx is going to be a major player. I don't think any major, or even minor, Hollywood movies have been made with a Celtx script. That will change.

As the end of the Winter 2011 term approaches, a few words...

My "Writing for TV, Film, & Radio" professor prefers we use Celtx.  It's free, it has storyboarding features, and has superior (to his mind) collaborative functions.

(I still prefer FD7.)

My "Audio Production" professor is teaching us Pro Tools, which is the "baseline" software all the big audio houses convert to and from.

(Never got it to work right on any of my computers.)

The editing bays are all dual-core Macs with Final Cut Studio 3 (FCP 7, Color, Motion, etc.)

(I have Adobe CS4 - Premiere Pro, AE, Photoshop, Soundbooth, OnLocation, Flash.)

I'm out of step, but I get it done.

Cheers!
