Thanks for posting a comment and showing an interest in my service.  I responded directly to you mtlancas at your gmail account, but here is the information for others:

I understand your concerns, so let me tell you about myself.  Right now I’m working for several film companies in New York City in the Development Department.  I read screenplays for producers and make recommendations on what projects to take on, and also make recommendations on how to improve scripts.  I’ve worked on projects with attachments like Martin Scorsese and Paul Thomas Anderson.  I have a vast knowledge and love of film, with a Screenwriting background.

I offer several services including an in-depth coverage of your screenplay, analyzing aspects like characterization, story, and concept, and suggestions for improvement.  I can also help you write or improve a query letter to send out to film companies.

I’d like you to start off by telling me some information about yourself.  Where you are as a writer, what your screenplay is about (if you have a logline and synopsis, that would be great), what draft your screenplay is in, and what you wish to achieve with my services.

I only take on projects I feel I can be of help.  For instance, if your screenplay is a clichéd vampire horror film, I’m going to turn it down (and trust me, there are plenty of those out there; I read queries on them all the time).  If I decide I can be of help and want to take on your screenplay, I will send you rates, along with a sample coverage, so you know exactly what to expect.

Right now, my website is in development.  I can offer you a much more personal and helpful service than many of the bigger screenplay service companies out there.  My goal is to help you develop the best possible draft of your screenplay before sending it out to film companies.  Because you only get one chance to make a first impression.  Most film companies keep track of writers and submissions, which means if you submit a bad screenplay that gets bad reads, it’s very likely that company will not request another screenplay from you in the future.

If you are interested, please email the information on you and your screenplay stated above, and I will review it and get back to you shortly.  I will send you rates along with my full contact information.

Good on you, mate!
Note: I'm not an OZ, nor do I play one on TV.
There are indeed far too many fast-buck artists out there, and they may well be hunting out sites like this... as hard as our Esteemed Host and Head Nurse may work, he can't be everywhere and do everything.
(More's the pity.)
In other words, guy, "Talk is cheap... show me!"

Do you have a website?

There are literally hundreds of coverage services out there and many of them are unprofessional and out to make a fast buck from naive writers. I'm not prejudging your service, but I'm wary of services without an official website and written testimonials from satisfied customers.

Did you just finish writing that big-budget thriller that you know would make a great Hollywood movie?  Or is your screenplay character driven, geared toward the Independent audience?  Either way, I can help.

I work for several different film companies and understand what they are looking for. I can give the advice you’ll need to get film companies to want to read your screenplay and option it.

Do you know what coverage is, or what a query letter is? “Coverage” is what readers at film companies write on your screenplay before the decision-makers see it.  If you get bad coverage, the decision-makers/producers will never even take a look at your screenplay.  A “query letter” is what you must write to film companies first, in order for them to even request your screenplay to read.  If you have a bad, typical, clichéd query letter, the film companies won’t even request your screenplay.

I read many screenplays and several hundred query letters a week, so I have the knowledge you need to get your screenplay read.  I’ll write an in-depth coverage on your screenplay, analyzing the characters, story, and dialogue and give advice on how to improve it.  I’ll also help you write a query letter that will help the right studio request your screenplay.

Contact me now at screenplayservices@gmail.com to discuss rates.  You just completed your masterpiece, now follow your dream and get it into the right hands.
