Ah, how time has flown...

"Time flies like an arrow.  Fruit flies like a banana."  Oh, that Groucho...

Has it really been that long since the date on the previous post?  I must assume so... otherwise, like misquoting Shakespeare, I must contend:

"The time is out of joint!  O curséd spite                        /* Pronunciation note: "cur-said" - used in Elizabethan times to make
That I was ever born to set it right."                             /* the meter scan (flow properly).

Cheers!

Ah, yes... where to begin?

I see many who write of how they love to write... That may be all well and good, but for my part, I write because I don't know how not to.  {It hurts too much, you see...}

Ever since I took my first screenwriting class when I was dating God's babysitter umpty-mumble years ago, I have wanted to tell stories on film.  I first took camera in hand just after Edison invented it before I was in high school, and was immediately making short films with a story.  {Usually cribbed from that week's TV hero show, like Batman or The Green Hornet.}

Artisitc is all well and good, but I was always in contention with my classmates in film school; I preferred Hitchcock to Truffaut, Keaton to Kubrick, and comedy to tragedy.  {How Sullivan's Travels of me.}

I still do what I can, in between attempts to maintain some sort of standard of living.

"It's better to fail at something you love than to succeed at something you hate."  Ain't that just so?
