Jodie,

I was in the same place you are now but I just wanted someone to critique my scripts.  I came across a few through the site "Expert Village" and on a when emailed a.  I did not use this person but he wanted $300 plus shared credit or $500 for no credit and the script remains yours.  It has been a while but I may still have the info.  I will try to dig it out but in the interim you can go to Expert Village and enter "script writing".  I hope this helps and NO it is not me.
Is it just me, or do the hackles on everybody's neck raise when reading this "$300 plus shared credit or $500 for no credit and the script remains yours" part?
My gut reaction -- RUN, don't walk, away from this deal as fast as you are able!

Free advice - worth all you paid for it.

Cheers!

As always, make sure you have the permission of the original copyright holder of the work from which you are writing the adaptation. Conversion of a copyrighted work from one form to another is NOT sufficient and infringes on the copyright of the original work.

Hello Jody,
I am an experienced script doctor and script supervisor. I've had a number of short stories published as well short films produced based on adaptions. I'd love to help you out. CMD

Hi, Sean,
Yes, I did get a response to my post. In fact I'm about sixty pages into the project. Since it's not my property, I can't let you see the book I'm using as the guide, but perhaps Lee would allow you to take a look at it. I submitted the first few pages. Of course it has been changed drastically since first posting.
You had a hit on your logline for Blood Brothers over on Trutopia.
Oh, yes. Lee's moniker in here is rednael. He'd probably like your input.
Is everything OK with you?

Good afternoon.

This is Lee, author of "Alive, Alaska", looking for someone interested in writing a script.

Where can I find out what to terms to seek, as well as protection and rights?

I appreciate any help you can offer.

Finding out what terms are being offered might be good.
