i have personally used STC and in my opinion I can’t possibly say enough positive about my experiences with customer service from The McFarlane Group. When I start my next screenplay, the upgrade to Save the Cat software will be my first purchase. i would recommend it to everybody!

I've used Blake Snyder's book Save the Cat, but not the software... as for the software package, I tend to use things that fit my price point.  Free works best.

Cards & a corkboard, I already have...

As far as story structure software goes, Power Structure and Save The Cat! are the two I've tried so far, and of those two I'm still fairly new to STC.

There is, though -- now that I've looked over the Software section one more time -- a Screenplay composition software you've missed, as well, and a fairly good one: CeltX. (http://www.celtx.com/). Having tried CeltX also, I'd say it's comparable to Movie Magic Screenwriter -- if perhaps not Final Draft -- and it's got one very large selling point: it's completely open-source and *drumroll, please* FREE. Can't beat that with a stick. Cheesy

There you go! Great idea! If you run across any packages I missed PM me with the info and I'll add it.

Perhaps for the more popular software packages, individually, such as a "Power Structure" forum and/or a "Save The Cat" forum? Or a general forum for structuring software? As I use both packages frequently (and hand-in-hand on a couple ongoing projects thus far) I can attest to just how helpful they are, and consequently a forum for discussing their strengths, weaknesses (and workarounds for the weaknesses) and helpful hints for making them either more guided or more flexible in a writer's daily work life could be just as useful. Just my opinion. Smiley
