I suspect they'd blow outfits like Final Draft and MMS out of the water if they'd drop their price to, say, under $100 bucks. I'd grab a copy, just for the ability to really detail outline my characters and other situations. The feature included is similar to, I think Dramatica, only the questions are in English without the need for a psychiatric degree.

That might be overstating a bit, but.........

In any case, I have Final Draft and MM2000. I really can't justify buying another program.

I agree. I was surprised at the price of Movie Outline. I wonder how much more of their software they'd sell at a more reasonable price?

I've fooled with the latest version of this product and like it. It's quick, very feature packed for the price, and at least on my old XP pro desktop w/512RAM, is fast. It offers several features, including scene listing, outlining, index cards featuring drag and drop capability and a screenplay editor that formats to Hollywood standards. The script can be saved an exported in PDF, which I think is becoming the norm these days.

This isn't meant to be a review or comparison, but:

I tried another piece mentioned on the Scriptnurse.com front page: Movie Outline 3.05, costs $200 although you can find it a few bucks cheaper here and there. It was very sluggish on my desktop, but ran well on my Vista laptop w/2G RAM.

When comparing the two, Movie Outline offers all the same features available in Scenewriter Pro and a few more. It's more slickly put together as well, but I noticed no real difference in ease of use. When comparing the $20 that Scenewriter Pro is selling for (80% off regular price), I'm honestly not sure Movie Outline is worth the substantial extra cost.
