Nor am I, LloJo.  Just not as experienced as you.
I've done many different things, including carrying mail for the Post Awful, and have written, taken pictures, drawn, and made movies since time immemorial, it seems...
I write because I don't know how not to.  I read, in the words of Mallory, "because it's there".
I see the movie in my head, and I try to write it so others will, too.

Maybe it works.

Let's see.

But I thought maybe posting could open a little dialog, which it seems the site needs.
I've been a writer most of my life, even when I was making a career elsewhere. (I had to eat) I've been published in Army Times, Stars and Stripes, Ultraflight, Readers Digest, and a myriad of ezines. I have written poetry, short stories, a novel and my memoirs, as well as several screenplays and a stageplay.
At present, I'm working with two authors, helping them turn their stories into screenplays. I find this extremely gratifying and satisfying. (One of these is posted in Work in Progress in ScriptNurse)
I have been retired since 1969(!) and that's how I can afford to do as I'm doing.
I'm 77, stove-up to beat Hell, but with a reasonably sound mind, although my wife would argue that point.
Now, I'd like to hear about YOU!
