Reminds me of the 1960s ... the Real Don Steele at 93 KHJ in Los Angeles, where I grew up.
The ones I heard more were Tommy Shannon and Robin Seymour from "The Big 8" CKLW in Windsor (just across the river from Detroit), and Larry Lujack on 89 WLS Chicago.

On a good night, when the "skip" was working, you could hear 50,000 watt CK in 26 states and 4 provinces.  (That was one of their ad lines, by the way.)

I did VO work back when I worked radio, lo, these Many Millennia ago.  I still do some now, at home, to support my Dearly Beloved Wife's costuming efforts, to provide additional tracks for my sound layering on projects, and just on General Principles.

"Martin Steele" is a great '60's Top 40 air name.

Hello everybody! Cheesy
My name is "Martin Steele". I am 'fairly' new to the VO industry and thought that this board would help me in my dream to become a great copy writer.

Hope everyone here is ready to go!
Glad to be a part of YOUR forum!
