Here's my impression:

Quote
1) After learning that his village was attacked my main characters rush back to the village where his father dies in his arms.
High impact: we are there with the main character in the moment, as it happens.

Quote
2) He learns later that his family and the villege where attacked, and finds there bodys.
Medium impact: Hearsay information but we're there when the bodies are found.

Quote
3) He is on his quest to complete his trials when the village is attacked. When they are killed he gets a flash in his mind, feeling his famly die one by one and falls to his knees.
Low impact: The main character isn't there and learns of their death through telepathy.

Quote
4) To learn from his enemy that he killed his family.
Hmmm ... only good if this is the moment that causes the "big showdown" between the main character and his enemy.

Making a dromatic scene need help to make it right.

What do you think would be better:

1) After learning that his village was attacked my main characters rush back to the village where his father dies in his arms.

2) He learns later that his family and the villege where attacked, and finds there bodys.

3) He is on his quest to complete his trials when the village is attacked. When they are killed he gets a flash in his mind, feeling his famly die one by one and falls to his knees.

4) To learn from his enemy that he killed his family.

sorry for all the questions but this is the event that will drive the rest of my story and the event that shapes the characters way of thinking and drives his actions.

thanks
