Hello,
My real name is Kenneth Casteel Jr and I hope to the best storyteller and animator I can be. This is alittle about who I am and why I write and draw.

What are my career goals and why do you do what you do?
A:)
Most animators I has spoken to or have seen in interviews have answered the question as follows, “I pursued a career in the field of animation due to the financial gain”, or “I pursued the field of animation to become famous and be on talk shows”. Financial gain, fame or to be the best are not my goals. In my mind money is nothing more than paper, fame is for the movie stars and to be the best is a non-realistic goal. My goal is to be the best I can be in all things and to create a work of art that I can be proud of. I have been interested in animation all my life but never thought it could become a career. But as time moved forward and my fascinations grew I began to write my own stories and create my own characters. Through my own work I can now see the threads that hold an animated story together. Animation is now a lot more than just pictures that move it is a work of art. That is my goal to create a work of art not to work for DreamWorks or any of the other fine studios out there but to create a work of visual art that I can look back on one day and be proud of. I want to do nothing more than tell a story.

Why do you draw animal charachers and not people?
A:)
I have always liked animals mostly deer. I was leader of a group that help protect a herd of deer for almost 6 years. If you got to know these creatures you will see all kinds of things not many other have seen. Each one of them has a story, there own way of doing things and familys. But sadly we where told to stop protecting the herd by the park service and the next year hunters went in and killed most of them. Out of 25 only 4 where still alive. The sad thing about it is that the hunters did not remove the bodys, or used them as food they just killed them. Out of the living there was one little fawn that had lost her mother, she became Yamka, Elu the main character in a story I'm writing and she is the reason I write and draw animals.

I want people to see these creatures as I do. They are not animals to me they are as much apart of this world as I am and have every right to live in it.
Sorry to sound like a tree hugger but I just wanted you all to know my reason for drawing and writing about animals, animal-like characters.
And other than that I like drawing animals, as you like drawing people.
