I am currently reviewing "Practical Screenwriting" by Charles Deemer. This is a very practical approach to the craft and a great, no-nonsense guide.

I also loved Dave Trottiers book, Screenwriters Bible...it works as a quick reference guide as well.

I am also wondering about those screenwriters who attended the Screen Expo in Nov. in Los Angeles? Any Comments...Highlights?

Dear Aurel Smiley  I have taken two books on the subject from our library, one is by Dave Trottier, the Screenwriter's Bible and the other is Screenwriting for Dummies by Schellhardt, Laura. Both comprehensive and packed full of information. I also have a piece of software installed called Write Ambition as well as WriteItNow and New Novelist, so I have plenty to choose from. Widget.

A great book on screenwriting

Fellow screenwriters, check out Yves Lavandier's WRITING DRAMA. So much richer and subtler than American books. http://www.clown-enfant.com/leclown/eng/drama/
