Good for you.

The thing is, do you have your story nailed down?  If you just write about a series of incidents, marginally related though they may be by the common setting, there isn't enough there to carry a screenplay through the generally accepted length of 120 pages.

Who's your main character?
What does he/she want?
What (or who) stands in his/her way?
What does your main character need to learn/unlearn in order to grow and change enough to get what he/she wants?

These are just a few brief questions you need to answer to get you pointed in the right direction.  After all, as has been said by far wiser heads than I, "Screenplays are STRUCTURE."  This is the blueprint, the foundation and skeleton of the ultimate movie.  If the screenplay works, the rest of the process can work, too.

But, that's another story...

hello everyone, my name is charlotte. I just stumbled on this site, and I decided to investigate it. what I see so far I like. I am a beginner screenwriter. I am writing my first screenplay and I tell you it is more than a notion. I been writing this screen play for about a year now. I am a certified nurse assistant and I decided to write a movie on people in a nursing home.
