We here at SN stand ready to help.

I couldn't have said it better myself... and Don probably couldn't either.

Hello, Monique,

Writing a play is similar to writing a screenplay, in that it's written in the present tense, and you need to format it properly. There are several possibilities right here on SN.

How to begin? Start with a story. Write it in any form you like, short story, novella, even poetry. (Evangeline has been filmed three times, and has been done on stage.)

When you have the story the way you want it, start scripting. You will need to consider the limitations the stage presents, and describe what is being seen by the audience.

[flash=200,200]I have a natural pulse for creativity with a colorful imagination. my thoughts swirl like a sand storm, what to do with all of this? if i had  hands of an octopus and a little pixy dust, i could be at all the places that i desire and do all the things that i could imagine all at the same time.Since I'm not ,i take steps along the way. Highly influenced by music, art, the news ,and just plain life. I'm always eager to tackle projects. I'm constantly inventing new ideas on everyday things, clothing design, writing songs etc. My next projects is stage production and writing a very intresting play, but don't know where or how to begin, feed back please.
