I'm a little behind on the chopped and lowered Newer Syd Field ParadigmTM; there's a sub-dramatic context in the two parts of Act Two?
Most writers I know have enough problems with the main dramatic context of Act Two, let alone any sub-dramatic context.

Hell's jingling bells, there's enough problems in getting your Hero through Act Two without either scragging him in a battle he wasn't equipped to win, or boring him (and, coincidentally, the audience) to death by Page 50.

Cheers!

Is there a context you're trying to apply this to?

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or information on how to better come up with the subdramatic context for the two halves of Act II. Of course, i'm reading this in syd fields screenwriters workbook and i needed some further explanation. If anyone can help....
