Hello there, and welcome!
I'm sure Don will look forward to your contest entry.
There's also a script we're all adding to, I think you'll find it interesting.
I find that most writers have a lot of their personal experiences wound through their work; whether or not those experiences deserve their own screenplay depends on how great they are, or how great the author can portray them.
Find a good screenwriting program and install it. There are several available on the site, some are free. That should answer your formatting concerns.
Good luck!

Hello there!

I'm a 23 years-old woman, a newcomer, I'm not from US, but I write scripts in English, as I've worked all over Europe.  I've had some interesting experiences that I would like to narrate in the scripts that I'm writing at the moment...I believe that one's experience can become a great subject to a screenplay. Do you agree?
I would have some questions about screenwriting format, because I see formats are different on different sites. So, which one is the real stadard format? I mean the spacing and other stuff, because I know the font is Courier.

I would like to hear from you.   Goodluck with work to you all!

P.S.: And I hope that even if I'm not from US I still can participate in the mini-movie screenwriting competition.
