Well, as apologies go, it was very grudging...  Wink

And, as grudges go, mine makes Godzilla (or Gojira, for you purists) look like a man in a rubber suit.

Oh, yeah, that's right... he was a man in a rubber suit...

Cheers!

As a side issue...
I have to go to the war with the networking I have, not the networking I wish I had (with apologies to Donald Rumsfeld).

Why in the name of David Wark Griffith would you want to apologize to Donald Rumsfeld?  Apologize for him, maybe...

My opinions...

Cheers!

Clearly, it's a less than ideal situation.  But as someone who lives approximately thirteen light-years from Greater Hollywood, I have very few contacts in the industry.  I have to go to the war with the networking I have, not the networking I wish I had (with apologies to Donald Rumsfeld).

Next week a production company and I are signing a "free option" as well.  Oh well, at least I get a tour of Dreamworks out of it...

Mike

That's all well and good, I suppose...
The only person I'd trust my stuff to for a "free option" is me, but that's just me.

Oh, in case anybody's interested, I finally found an attribution for my quote in my signature... "If it ain't on the page, it ain't on the stage" is credited to Oscar® winner Shirley Booth.  (The source is Lew Hunter's Screenwriting 434.)

Cheers!

Welcome. One pound?

I know the feeling had to give some away for free of late. Hell even custom wrote a couple for free - under selling I know, but all in the hope that one gets made (at some stage).

Hey, Rob.

One pound sounds like a better deal than the "one dollar and other valuable considerations" I've heard bandied about in other contexts (not necessarily in a script sale).

By the by, welcome to our little playground... Any number can play.

Oh, and "death does not release you", to quote some of my friends in the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (their site at www.lasfs.org has a "who's who" of science fiction fans and professionals on the U.S. West Coast since the group's founding, lo these many millennia ago...)

Cheers!

Nice place the Nurse has here. I've been writing for more years than I care to remember without a sale, though I've had many near misses for one reason or another. Got my first option last year for a short script - for the princely sum of one pound. We hope it will be shot this summer in the UK.
