As usual, Don is right... Many things we may be, but "shy" is definitely not one of them...

Cheers!

Well, thanks.

I was able to locate a screenwriters group about 45 minutes from where I live.  The outfit is called "Little Hollywood."  I'll check them out and see how helpful they are.

By the way, I'll have you know I defended Michigan women the other day when one of my colleagues referred to them as "trash."  I said, "No they're not.  Trash gets picked up."

As far as dinner and a movie is concerned, caviar first; but please, no show tunes.

Have a happy!

Gentle?  I'll even offer dinner and a movie first...

Being from Cleveland, or as we like to call it here in Detroit, "The Mistake on the Lake", is nothing to be ashamed of.  Just wash your hands afterwards and spray some disinfectant.

I don't know of any writers groups in Cleveland, but I'm sure a GoogleTM search will bring up something...

And don't worry about the wolf... he's going to be eaten by the hungry creditors swarming down from Michigan.

Cheers!

Al B.

Wow.  Cool site.

I'm obviously new here so let me cover some basics.  This post is coming from Cleveland.  Yes, THAT Cleveland.  Former home of Paul Newman, Bob Hope, Tim Conway, and lest we forget, Halle Berry.  Come to think of it, a lot of famous people are from Cleveland.

I'm just starting my first script about love, betrayal, and forgiveness. It's based on a short story I wrote about six months ago. A date movie with, of course, a "twist" at the end.  The goal is a movie without steamy sex, foul language, and blood and guts.  I'm trying to work with a fellow by the name of John Hanrahan.  "Jack," as he likes to be called, was one of the writers on the old "Laugh-In TV show.  Feel free to Google him and you'll see that he hit a streak of really bad luck. He's trying to get back on his feet so the project is as much a therapeutic exercise for him as it is a vocation for me.

I'm up to about 40 pages but need lots of help with dialogue and formatting.  I would also appreciate knowing if there are any scriptwriting groups, that meet in person in the Cleveland area.  Any assistance would be appreciated as the wolf is no longer at the door; it's got me cornered in the downstairs closet.

I'll save the whole torrid and wretched bio of my life for later.

Wish me luck folks.

Deus est nostrum pugnaculum!

Tim
