Hi there. Wow only just discovered this site...it's great!!!! I realise that the original post is quite old now but if you were still looking I have a completed script that runs to  85 pages  and is a blackly comic thriller following  a suicidal drug dealer  over a 24 hour time period . It's called "Dead or Anything"......just drop me a line at benedictcolbeck@googlemail.com if interested.

Cheers

It's been awhile since you posted your request. I have just come across this terrific site and saw that you are looking for a low budget for Indie. I do have one that I can easily adapt to fit your brief description if you are still looking. If you are then please e-mail me at mpower@activereception.com

Hello,
My name is Ian Kennedy.  I am a comedy writer and have several short films you may want to look at.  One is a parody of a game show called, “High Noon Penisectomy”.  Another is a parody commercial about an ice cream truck for adult men called, “The Pubic Library”.  Another is about a guy who has a psychedelic epiphany while sitting the toilet called, “Zen Movements and Acid Flashbacks”.  Another is a parody commercial for jock itch powder called, “Jockaway”.  Another is a parody talk show called, “The Spic and Mick Show”.  Lastly, I have  a weird 70s cop parody called, “Diamonds Are Lasting Somewhat”.

If any of these sound interesting, please let me know.

Thanks for your time,
Ian Kennedy

hello... the films you have mentioned are one of my favorite ones... esp lock stock and two smoking barrels... i just love it... other than this tarantino, stone and rodrigues happen to be one of my favorite directors... i have some short films written ready to be produced. they are exactly what you are looking for. one of them is film noir and the other one is kind of psychological thriller kind of drama thing. really would like to hear from you... i am a director myself and would have loved to produce these two scripts but due to some other problems esp from college i couldn't make them... now i am directing a feature film that i have written... do email me so that we can progress on some level... my email add is:

Thank you for replying so promptly. I have left this open so as not to influence who responds. The main thing I'm looking for though, apart from the obvious well structured/written script, is a script with a sense of DRAMA to it and good dialogue. This would rule out romantic love stories, unless of course love is set in a turbulent context. Clearly, it needs to be circa 15-200 pages to make a 60-90m film.

The main genre I'm interested in is Film Noir, crime, thriller, and drama (I may be interested in horror if it involves a little fantasy as well).

To help a little more I'll give you list of my favourite films:

City of God, Sexy Beast, Casino, This is England, La Haine, Leon, Lockstock & two SmB, Under-Suspion, Trainspotting, American Beauty, shawshank redemption, jerry Maguire, usual suspects, goodwill hunting, Donnie Darko.

Hope this helps: I just wanted to give those more wacky script-writers a chance. It would be great to do something completely original!

PS: love the site - wish I'd found it earlier!

The judges and I are currently reading and scoring 133 short film scripts. Any particular genre? Length?

Greetings to all.

I am looking for a script for a very low budget film.

Flashgun Films are an indie film group who make commercials, music vids and short films. I am looking for a script to use where the script writer gets a % share of any profits made from the film once it is complete.

Please advise ASAP.
