Haven't read the book.
You might read some of the other posts in the forum lists about adaptation of an existing work - specifically acquiring rights (or an option on the rights) from the author.  This could be tricky.
(Like everything else, dealing with other people can be problematic...)

Be that as it may, please don't let it discourage you from writing.
(Those of us who can't be discouraged, dissuaded, or distracted from writing under any circumstances are the ones who need it, but it doesn't work...)

I just read a novel called Callie's Redemption which I think would make a good screen play.  Has anyone read this novel and if so, what do you think?
It is about one woman reconnecting with God after the death of her nephew.  It is set in South Florida in the 1990's. Huh
